Overview
This activity provides case-based cardiovascular education designed to enhance the diagnostic and clinical decision-making skills of physicians, nurses, sonographers, and other interdisciplinary team members. Participants routinely review complex and instructive clinical cases incorporating multimodal imaging—including ultrasound, CT, and angiography—to illustrate key diagnostic features and evidence-based evaluation strategies. Sessions include facilitated discussions on management approaches for challenging cardiovascular conditions, emphasizing current guidelines, emerging treatment modalities, and opportunities to improve care delivery. The activity also incorporates didactic presentations on recent advances in cardiovascular medicine, supporting ongoing professional development for learners across the care continuum. Through this structured, team-based educational format, participants strengthen their ability to interpret cardiovascular imaging, apply evidence-based management strategies, and optimize patient outcomes within diverse clinical settings.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  1. Improve initial diagnostic and treatment decisions, admit patients appropriately, and adjust care based on each patient’s ethnicity and gender.
  2. Recognize and address implicit bias—particularly when caring for patients who are under- or uninsured, undocumented, or affected by addiction—to ensure more equitable and patient-centered care.
  3. Understand and discuss Cardiology and Vascular cases together, using shared language that supports team learning along with understanding new tools, technologies, and techniques and how they affect each person's responsibilities.
